Phone Call with #avfc
After sending an email to Paul Faulkner on Friday, I received a phone call from Nicky Keye. First thing it is nice to know that Paul, couldn’t be bothered to deal with me directly.
My email pointed out McLeish’s awful record at Villa, the awful football we are playing and the disatisfaction of the fans with the direction the club is taking under him.
Apparently the club has a vision (wasn’t told what it was though) and that nobody is happy with the current position, but everybody is working hard to rectify it. Didn’t say how though!
I asked them what possessed them to appoint a manager with a proven track record of failure in the Premier League and then to persist with him while he is continuing to fail, again no real answer.
I also pointed out that our squad should be performing a lot better than its current position and apparently that is a view that is shared by all at the club.
I then asked if the club was aware of the large number of fans that will not be renewing if McLeish remains in charge and she said the club are aware of this. She then asked if I would be renewing and I said
“Not a chance why he remains as manager, and neither will any of my family or friends that I go with”
She said ST details will be out in the post soon, so I replied “I will be sending the pack back with another letter explaining AGAIN why I will not pay again to watch Aston Villa under McLeish”
In summary I appreciated the fact she called and she seemed a nice woman, but on the whole it was a waste of time.
I have come to the conclusion that Alex McLeish is more important to the owner and CEO of Aston Villa than any of the fans and for that reason, they can bollocks for all I care now.
LERNER, FAULKNER & McLEISH OUT!

That’s more or less what I got. I’ve also sent a new email saying I want answers to my questions and not just the normal email they send everyone. Everything they are trying to do is pr, but no one has got a clue about, everything they have done pr wise since this clown has been here has been a pile of shit. What I think we should do now is, when the reserves play at villa park fill the stadium to show were backing avfc and give the kids the support as they play football the proper way. This will then give them the experience of playing in front of large crowds. Then boycott the first team games to show our disapproval towards mcfuckwit
Can you please send me the email address, or telephone number? I would likie to ask a few questions myself, the more people that do this the greater the impact
If they do not listen to us the only thing i see happening is a riot! Sounds dramatic, and i certainly wouldnt agree with it, but there is lots of anger amongst fans!
I agree it will end like that especially if we go down. The thing is none of this seems to bother anyone at the club, why can’t Paul Faulkner or randy lerner come out and tell us fans the vision. After todays article in the mail about randy giving the players a pep talk mayb its him with the team talks and not mcfuckwit. Everything is greeted with silence, no answers

Dear Mr Faulkner
I am writing to you regarding the alarming situation at Aston Villa football club
The large majority of Aston Villa fans, “96%” to be exact, feel that you need to do something about the current manager. We feel it is time for you to hold your hands up and admit that employing Alex Mcleish was a huge mistake!
His record is appalling, the style of football is embarrassing, and we are now in real danger of sliding down into the championship! For a club like Aston Villa this is simply just not good enough!
Liverpool, Spurs, Everton, Arsenal, and a number of other big clubs would have sacked their manager right now if they were in our situation, just have a look at whats just happened at Chelsea!
We didnt want Mcleish as manager but you ignored our frustrations, and protests, almost as if you and Mr Lerner have no respect for us at all. We are the heart beat of the club and deserve to be treated with more respect, and we have a right to an opinion. I noticed you stated recently in the evening mail that falling attendancies is a result of the recession, well this coulnt be further from the truth! The current manager is the reason behind the poor turn outs, not to mention the fact that you have been arrogant enough to treat us like we dont matter! The country was in a recession when we had MON as manager and avaerage attendancies were 41,000 at the time!
Randy Lerner says he loves the club, but i dont think he loves Aston Villa in the same way that i do, or thousands of other fans do. If he does, and you both have the clubs best interests at heart, i challenge you to do the right thing now before Aston Villa falls apart!

The PR spin wont work with me, i have more spin in my little toe than she or Faulkner have in their whole life times! I will welcome the call, but i doubt she will feel the result is positive, ” if she trys to spin the psychological bullshit on me”
Just to let everyone know, i have had no responce from Mr Faulkner or his PA!

I didnt expect you or anyone at the club to respond, there seems to be a huge divide between you and the fans!
Maybe i should introduce myself to you as a business man, like yourself, who runs a successful company. I am in a position of power if you like, but i always treat people with respect and understand that everyone is intitled to an opinion. I would certainly respond to a frustrated client who emailed me, because afterall my clients like Fans of Aston Villa Football club, are the ones that keep the thing in motion.
Without clients or in Aston Villas case Fans , we are nothing
I am keen to have a chat if you or one of your colleagues has time?

I did get a responce from Niky Keye, not suprisingly really because she may well have suddenly realised that i might be a fan with a little more business/contact clout, not that i am of course, i am just a fan like everyone else.

I am part of a large group of Aston Villa supporters who are extremely frustrated with the current sitution at Villa park
We all know that the current management team is not working, and we would like to ask the board some questions
We are a goup of professionals, so its not like we are trouble makers cooking up a storm, we really care about the football club and feel that we are in real danger of relegation!
Something has to be done, beacause there is a very large majority of fans who are talking about boycotting home games! There is a group that has 17,000 members who all talk on a forum about Alex Mcleish, everyone wants him out of the club!

I have been absent from the UK for a few weeks and have been in many bars watching the Prem Lge and of course I had always some kind of Villa colours on…stupid man I know
I was amazed that so many other fans with fans of the likes of the SKY 6 plus WBA, Sunderland, Newcastle, Everton infact almost every club bar Wigan or Bolton (never seen any of them) They were all virtually saying how in earth are the fans not turning on the club the CEO & of course McLeish …I tried in vain to say that we are but the majority appear to be suffering from complete apathy..
We ARE a laughing stock of huge proportions and I was lost for words as I couldn’t and wouldn’t defend any of the goings on at VP.
My seaston ticket is in the BIN & won’t be renewed until McTwat is NOT at VP
50 years of undivided loyalty wasted and in the bin.
I have spoken to the club on this subject many times and they know I won’t enter VP again
